Instead of usual Dosas made with rice flour or wheat flour, this is a gluten free one with buckwheat and pearl millet/kambu/bajra. This can be a breakfast for adults as well as for kids. If trying it for babies, this can be given above 7 months after introducing both the above flours individually without salt. My 1 year old Little Viv liked it! Being gluten-free,it is good to manage diabetes.
Method:
- Mix 4 tblspn of buckwheat flour, 1 tblspn of bajra flour,1 tspn of rice flour, 2 spoons of curd, salt.
- Add needed water to make a batter thick enough to make dosa.
- Crush/grind ginger garlic and add it to the batter.
- Add cumin, curry leaves and hing powder also.
- Leave it aside for 5-10 minutes and prepare dosa.
This makes 2 medium size dosas. Serve hot with your favourite chutney or sambar.
- You can also grind green chillies if you need it to be spicy.
